Scent bottle - bone?

I love this item. I think it is a scent bottle and believe it may be made of bone.

Are these items collectable? Do they have any value?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you done the pin test? (Heat a pin with a match, touch the bottom of the fish. If the pin goes in, its not bone but a hard resin/plastic). Many items like this were 'recreated' in the 1980s when the originals were deemed highly collectable.
