What to use to repair damaged latticework on Deco cabinet?

I have a cabinet with two Deco latticework panels that are very similar to this design:
However, one panel is bowed and the other is missing some pieces. I believe they both need to be replaced but I am not sure what material to use. Since the cabinet is painted white, it isn't necessary to use wood. I plan to remove the intact panel to use it as a template, but I am stumped as to what replacement material to make the new latticework out of. Can anyone help?
