Saucey Fish!

My grandmother always delighted in the joy of her grandchildren when pouring sauce from this fish! On my journey attempting to ascertain the value of an old furniture piece, I came across a similarly marked wash bowl priced at several hundred dollars... Wondering if this favourite old gem here holds more value than just the sentimental.

My mother also had one

A gift from my grandmother, although this one has been repaired. The stamps are alike, and also include the description acid resistant - what does that mean?

RE: Saucey Fish!

Acid resistant means "post dishwasher" era, so 1960's and later. They are cute pieces, but not a lot of value. Maybe $35-40 in my shop. mfrog

Thank you mfrog :-) These were part of everyday dining in our family as i was growing up. Funny how such little things can hold so many memories.

RE: Saucey Fish!

You know the old saying "it's the little things in life" :-) I have an old cookie jar that was my grandmother's, I remember that jar from about the time I was 4. The jar isn't worth anything, it's chipped & the paint has worn off, but I love that jar. mfrog
