Strange flea market find

Hi everyone,
My Uncle brought this picture today, and he was wondering what this thing might be. He found it at a flea market, it looks like it might be some kind of a mallet, or maybe something to do with farming?Those nine "spikes" don't look too pretty, do they? Hope one of you can identify it. Sorry for the quality of the picture. Thanks for any help.

Sorry for the quality of the answer, but I see a blurry object of unknown size.

A clear picture from a couple of angles and dimensions can improve the quality of the answer.

It's obviously some sort of stomper or tamper. Dimensions would help. The teeth on the bottom appear to be designed to macerate whatever it comes in contact with. I've seen long-handled stompers before for things like kraut, but never any with teeth on them, so could be for something really special.

Is it wood or iron? If it's wood I think it could be food or domestically-related, if iron I think it's used to clean out the grates of a coal-burning boiler; the tines would be spaced to match the holes in the grates to open them up and get out the clinkers.
