Can you help identify this old teapot?

I have this blue and white teapot with a recessed lid and I am unable to find anything like it on the internet. Any idea of the vintage, origination, value? It is quite heavy and about 4-1/2" tall without the handle and about 7-1/4" tall with the handle. I think the handle is brass, along with the rim and the end of the spout. The inside is stained and the teapot appears old. I would appreciate any help you can provide! Thanks so much. (the only thing remotely similar is found on the website http://maritimeasia.ws/desaru/ceramics.html)

Try "flow blue" as part of the search terms.

It is either oriental or made to look oriental - the shape, the handle and the recessed lid are all oriental features.

Here is a link that might be useful: Flow Blue informationm

It looks like a 19th century Staffordshire teapot to me. Any chance of a pic of the base?
