Teak chair with caning- help please?

I'm trying to find more information about the date and style of this chair. It belongs to my father, he can't remember where he got it, potentially from his grandfathers home when he passed away.

I've cleaned it off a bit and the wood appears to be teak. The chair is put together with square nails that aren't hand forged so I'm assuming it is 19th century. The seat and legs are joined using some sort of pegs; and the back and arms are constructed of several pieces. The chair is extraordinarily worn on the arms and along the front.

Any insights or theories would be much appreciated! I've looked at a large number of 19th century chairs and I haven't seen any similar, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.

Thanks in advance!
