Definitely. It's a butter table. I churn my own butter sometimes, and after it's churned, you have to work all the buttermilk out of it. I use serrated butter paddles and work it like carding wook, but you could throw the glob of butter on a butter table and roll the pin over it to make the moisture ooze out.

for the whole apparatus is a butter worker. I misspelled wool in my first post, you can work a ball of butter between two paddles like carding wool is what it is supposed to say. Here's a good site about the whole process.
