I will be very interested to hear what others have to say regarding your coverlet. I have one very similar that my mother bought at an estate sale. It has the same scalloped edge and shape cut out for four poster beds. I always considered it a matelassé coverlet, but did not ever think of it as being from the 1800's. I use it on my dear departed Grandmother's full size bed.

In researching the coverlet, it is not Bolten. It would probably be early 1900's machine made. Marcella is the closest I have come. These coverlets sell on eBay around $50.00, give or take due to damage, stains, etc. I would guess 1920's-1930's.
