We four children had plates like this when I was a child in the 1940s. The meat was put in the large section, and the vegetables and potatoes in the smaller ones. However, I do not remember the name of the manufacturer. They were very sturdy and survived our use.

Here's some good info on the company. Based on the company's history - no, it's not "old" (as in "antique"); but it could be "vintage" based on exactly when your plate was made. Mid-century could be likely.
