Yes, it is and there is a name for that combo, but it escapes me at the moment. I had some examples in a turn of the century catalogue. I have never seen one quite in that particular style, however. My parents referred to them as a 'secretary' and were meant to be a bookshelf/desk combination. I am not sure if the glass fronted part of it were meant for books for knick-knacks and suppose it would have been determined by how substantial the shelves are. There are certainly many examples of glass-fronted bookshelves.

The numbers are probably a model or registration mark. You need to check the drawers and the base of the piece for a posslble makers mark.

It's an Art Deco equivalent of the well known drop front secretary desk.
