Photographs of actors' faces (from the 1892 spoon)

We talked about this on the souvenir spoon thread, but I thought I'd give them their own spot.

The spoon shows five female stage actor faces on the front, and five male on the reverse. I photographed Mary Anderson and Edwin Booth (John Wilkes Booth's brother). These two are the second largest on the spoon (the largest faces are very stern and didn't appeal to me). They measure less than a half-inch tall. The prints are 8x10" in 16x20" frames. I had to photograph the framed pictures at an angle because of the gallery lighting.

Here's Mary Anderson

and Edwin Booth

and here's how they're exhibited this month, with my granddaughter's eye. :-)

Love it!!...Love the look that the remaining tarnish gives....and that must be SOME camera to get that detail and blow it up!

Thanks, Linda! It's all in the lens . . . oh, and the incredible photographer, of course. LOL

I'd say the photographer, the art work, & the lens are spectacular!!!!!!
