Another view of Berry Spoon ???

This shows the pierced design in the bowl, and a design on the top of the handle. Thought it may provide some sort of clue.

Could this be a spoon for removing eggs from boiling water?

I thought about that, but seeing as the handle is only 3-1/2" your fingers would be pretty close to the boiling water.

The berry spoons I remember have a rather flat and wide spoon end. Hmmmmm

It's a sugar sifter.........

Definately a sugar sifter (for sugaring one's strawberries) but I can't i.d. the maker or the pattern. Lovely piercing in the bowl.
