| I am unable to identify this trunk. My mother says it was brought from Norway by her grandparents.
Can anyone help? Thank you! |

| It's a rather typical trunk of the late 1980's. There is one in my basement brought from Sweden by my MIL's mother. |

| Thanks for your help. Do you know what that style of lid is called? I have Googled split lid and half lid to no avail. |

| Wardrobe trunk.....sometimes called an immigrant trunk.... And of course I meant 1890'S! Is that embossed metal or leather? Nice trunk....nicer than mine! |
|
| I figured you meant the 1890's. :) It is embossed metal. I didn't know this trunk existed until a week ago. My mother has been storing it in a dank basement. She was going to sell it at her farm auction, but I have talked her out of it. I'm hoping she will sell it to me, so I am trying to find a fair market price on it in its present condition. |

| Not a fancy inside.....lots of rust. Offer her $50...likely more than it would bring and you are both happy. Linda C |
