How can I tell if this lamp is "real"

Obviously an Arts and Crafts style, and the only identifying mark is the word "Dale" on the pull chains. I got it for FREE at a garage sale. Since the seller is a good friend, if this lamp is worth anything, I'd feel obligated to give her something for it. Thanks for your opinion.
Sorry the image is rotated. I've rotated it numerous times, and just keeps reverting to it's original orientation.
