I bought a set of these stacking mugs, what look to be from the 1950s. I have scoured the internet and ebay trying to find the manufacturer, to no avail. They are marked S USA. This is the 1st time I've been stumped by american made pottery. I have asked a few antique dealers as well. Please help .

I have 2 Kovel marks books & I don't see it in either of them. Sorry! Looks like they would be used in a café! Cute!

Are they heavy duty restaurant quality? Could it be for Syracuse china?

I agree that they have a restaurant look to them. Maybe you could search for popular 1950-1960 chain restaurants and see if their logo colors are a match to your dishes? Sounds like a daunting proposition, huh? :(
