im starting a new thread. i have an 8 piece dinner set. i contacted replacements ltd as instructed by lindac and the only info they gave me was it was made by the British Empire Ware. nothing else and no replacements available. is that good or bad? and the only markings on ANY piece is USA on the bottom of the cups.any info or help would be appreciated.

I don't have an answer for you....but the link below shows another set very like yours....but not the same and only the cups are marked. The person answering thinks it may be Mc Coy....but if Mc Coy had put out anything like that, it would be in the books....and it's not. so that's 2 sets we know of and still don't know who made them.
another possibility....maybe....
There is a story about a village in Japan which made china and marked it USA with no other mark....I have never seen any proof of that....but for some old timers standing around at a sale telling the story.
So it's still a mystery.
