It worked for me, too, but there may be problems today judging by the missing pages & threads in the Kitchen Forum.

I've had the same thing happen to me. I've also had search return partial results. For example, I've searched on my user name to find a recent post, but it was missing from the results. I've been meaning to report it, but I haven't gotten around to it until now.

It would be good if everyone who's had this problem left feedback to the forum to try to get them to fix search. If they receive multiple problem reports, it will escalate the issue to the top of the bug fix list. I've added a link to the problem report form below.
