New here-need help with American Bisque Cookie Jar

In the process of cleaning out my husband's grandmother's house we have come across an American Bisque Umbrella Kids cookie jar in excellent condition. I've searched the web, and all the markings match up. But, in all the pics I've seen on the web, the girl in the pair is looking at the boy (to her right). On our cookie jar, the girl is looking away from the boy (to her left). Also the colors are more muted than in the pics I've seen. Is this an indication of an older version, or is this a fake? I have a pic, but can't figure out how to post it here...:/ tia!

Hmmm....I don't know. I would Google for cookie jar collectors sites and ask there. You may have a very valuable short period of manufacture jar.

Nope, doubt it. The outline of the material is the same in both jars, and whether she is looking toward or away from the boy is just a matter of how it was painted. Somebody may have just gotten bored and decided to make her look the other way. However, that doesn't mean it isn't rarer and may up the value a bit.
