Start out at the library.....and when you find something you think is a good reference, go from there...
It rather depends on what type of glass you like...I am partial to EAPG and some of the early blown stuff....so my recommendation there would be different than stuff on newer collectable glass or the utilitarian stuff like fireking and the old pyrex stuff.
