| I have two antique mystery chairs. One I purchased about a month or so ago which looks like part of a dining set. It is an ornate caneback armchair with a label under neath that reads Peck and Hills Furniture Co. All I can find out about this company is it went out of business in the 1930's, and was absorbed into the American Furniture Co.
The second I just purchased. The legs are slightly bowed with simple claw like feet. It has a worn but sturdy leather seat. There are no inscriptions as to it's maker anywhere on it. Pictures of both are available on request. It seems this forum doesn't have a spot for pictures. |
