New to site

I just found this site and signed up. I have a 1930's bedroom set I inherrited from my parents. I was going to cut the legs off the highboy and paint it. Then I thought I should check to see what I have. I doubt that it is valuable but it does look well made. What is the first step in t racking it down.

Take a photo of it and post it here. Look for manufacture mark, sometimes on the back or inside the drawers. If there's a vanity bench, check under that as well. On my parents' 5-piece set, the only identification was on the little bench.
