Hard to say, because that style has been produced since medieval times.

Here is a photo of the wooden pegs under the top of the table and down near the base. The table top is bordered on either end by a strong-grained oak while the surface is a much finer grain. Hope this helps....but probably not! Thanks, anyway.

The "Dutch slide" stored leaf table were extremely popular in the early part of the 1900s because of the efficiency of the in-table storage for city dwellers.

That, and the revivals of older styles (Jacobean, Renaissance, etc.) that were also popular makes me guess this is probably a 1920-1930 or so table.

I think my first inclination was right, somewhere between the 1920's & 1940's. Drawleaf table with breadboard ends. Nice piece, not worth a lot of $. I have seen this style of table come from UK, & Belgium especially, not just Netherlands, though they are called Dutch style sometimes. Like a lot of antiques, this can be very regional as well. mfrog

Yes, the seller got it from the UK though he thought it might be a little older, around 1900, due to the quality of construction, but he said he wasn't certain. Thanks for your help.

It could be a bit older than the 20's. It's hard to say without being able to look at the construction details underneath etc. Won't make any difference value wise. You're welcome for the help. Enjoy the table. I had one about 20 years ago in a long narrow kitchen, it worked great, loved it but it didn't work in any other kitchen I've had since then. :) mfrog
