ID these cane chairs?

Hi Everyone,
I've been scouring the internet for similar chairs, but tend to come back empty handed. I would like to repaint them (do not like the current paint job) but I'm trying to figure out if they're worth restoring to the natural wood and/or recaning.

Can you take better pictures?

As you no doubt know, the caning on the back is handwoven, which is a sign that this is a good quality, possibly antique chair. If it were mine, I'd try to strip it. You can always repaint it if you don't like how it turns out, but you might discover a real treasure under that paint.
