This beauty was seen at a local boutique in my town yesterday, and I'm going back today to see if they still have it.

You won't believe the price: .......... $35.00.

Yay or nay?

I often see these fireplace 'fans' at thrift stores.

I you love it, get it. If its gone, search craigslist and ebay...there a a bunch out there. Although the one you picture looks better made then many.

Thanks, ML. It's very heavy, which I like, so I think it is well made. The store is closed today, so I have another day to decide if I "need" this. ;-)

Now what does 'need' have to do with it? :)

That really is pretty--I found one that was sold on etsy, evidently for less than their asking price of $127.00, but the shipping alone was $35.00.

Mmm, that's beautiful, Mama Goose!

I keep thinking, there's not much you can get nowadays for 35 bucks. Too good to pass up. ;-)

I have an identical one given to me by my SIL although the finial on mine seems to be a replacement. It's very well made & I would say a bargain at $35.

Thanks for posting, antiquesilver. :)

I wouldn't say there are a bunch, at least not in my area, and I have been looking for one for my son. I bought one about ten years ago and it was $10. Here's one posted on shopgoodwill. Even with shipping($16.23 for where i'm at)that would still be reasonable.
