Barrel beer mug

Does anyone know anything about this sort of old brownware beer mug? I bought a set of four at the estate of an old German woman and am wondering about their origins. There are no markings on the bottom. I didn't post a pic of the bottom but it's unglazed, ochre-colored, if that helps. Reminds me of McCoy.

Thanks!
Di

I have never seen anything like this but I am not into german beer mugs. But I must tell you they are good looking.

I have several of these...in brown and dark green. The type of pottery is called yellow ware. I am sure they were made in the US. Mine are in the other house...I can check tomorrow.
