No name, just symbol on silver plate ~ help!

Posted by justlinda (My Page) on

I have searched high and low for a name to go with this symbol. The piece is a serving spoon. The symbol looks like a clay pipe with bubbles...lol.

Anybody recognize it, or any suggestions what to look for?

A picture of the whole piece might give some hints as to era and country.

The spoon is about 8-3/4" long, bowl is 2-3/4" wide.

After a cursory look though ID books I don't see a maker with this mark but the pattern looks like it dates from the 1920's, give or take 5 years.
