Hi i am just learning about what to look for when buying lamps. I bought this one at a garage sale because I liked it. I don't think that it is more than 25 or 30 years old, but I don't know what to look for. Any info, worth or advice would be a big help.

Hi Don't let bad wiring scare you. There are kits that are easy to use to rewire lamps. most box stores carry them.

I don't know much about lamps (except that yes, rewire them if they look sketchy!) but buying stuff "because you like it" is the best way to collect anything.

It's not the best photo, but that lamp looks pretty nice. The metalwork seems far too nicely detailed for it to be a cheap piece. It may never be valuable (I have no clue!), but at least it's quality!
