Hey, so my grandparents moved out of their house into an apartment, and we have since cleaned it out. in one of their back storage rooms we found crates full of their wedding gifts from 1954. in one of them was these bookends. they are on white marble stands, their wings are tucked in and purple. Their body is more of a yellowish color and their heads are a pink. If anyone could please tell me who carved these and how much their estimated worth is please let me know.

Dyed alabaster, value unknown.

See these for a lot of their cousins, although yours are less ornately carved than some.

Hi
I have 8 pair of alabaster bookends that I've purchased on eBay. Your pair is older (usu 1930's) and deeper colored than usual. Did you sell them yet? I'd put them on eBay starting at $35.00
