The bulbous legs! Those legs and the curved connector are almost exclusive to the late 1920s "Baronial" style ... the manufacturers stuck in all kinds of details from various periods.

Yours is the first I can remember with "linenfold" detailing on it.

Worth? Impossible to guess.

They made hundreds of thousands of these sets in the 1920s and 30s. So the question comes up a lot.

While dealers call it "Baronial" I have never seen that term in a period catalog. The first I heard of that term "Baronial" was as a general category to describe the over the top furnishings (especially office desks and chairs) used to decorate the Robber Barons' homes and offices in the late 19th century as an ostentatious display of wealth. The Sears & Robuck offerings, like your piece, are the low rent version of baronial furniture, if you will.

It is a Refectory Table , Jacobean style , made of Oak . Late 1800's to early 1900's .

The chair backs are wonderful.
