help with old rocking chair

i have had this rocking chair for many years. i got it at an auction in a small town, and was told it was used at the train depot. it was in poor condition when i got it. it was covered in leather. i refinished and recovered it. i have never seen another one like it. can anyone tell me anything about it? thanks in advance.
