Help Identify Tea Set

I came across this tea set at an auction and thought it was beautiful but am unable to identify anything about it. Origin, value, meaning of symbols. Any help?

It is a very nice set, yes. The old man pictured is Jurojin, God of longevity.

Are there any marks or signatures on the underside of the pieces?
May be a flash artifact, but the set does not look old.

Don't think it is either, just by the general style. Since this is a Taoist diety, it is common to several Oriental countries although the artwork looks Japanese to me. The text is in a script common to both Japan and China, so that doesn't tell me anything. Potter's marks would help on the underside.
