Antique Bed Identification

A friend of mine has an old bed that he is trying to identify.

Can anyone help identify the period and if this has any value or not.

He is located in Southern California.

Here are some pictures of the bed:

RE: Antique Bed Identification

I think it is a "day bed" made of steel tubing and angles. The spring set is common. These beds were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. Its value is determined by the collectibility of the head and foot pieces. The other parts are common. Brass head and foot pieces are more desireable.

I've seen lots of that sort of bed...my grandmother had one. I suspect it dates from about 1920. They were very cheap when new and I have seen several sell at auction for little or nothing....but they may have become more desirable in the past 10 years.
I have never seen a bed like that of brass....they were all brownish painted metal...steel.
How wide is it? Looks like a normal twin to me.
