It's okay, but have you headed out to Warrenton or Winchester or some of the small towns up toward PA past Frederick? I am still kicking myself for not buying an old farm table I saw out there years ago. It was one plank for the top and narrow compared to most tables which is what I wanted. *sigh*

Of course, for $350, if you like it when you go see it, that it a good price.

Agree with you, cooperbailey. It's a married piece or a bad job of "creative" use of spare parts laying around. Now, in fairness, many such pieces were used in farmhouses all across the country. It's value here, I'm in southern New England, would be next to nil. IMO, you can find a better table...patience will eventually reward you.

In our household I'd be concerned about dealing with spills and crumbs and such in the spaces between the planks. We have a heavy rustic pine table that we use for dining, homework, projects. We like the way you can see our history in its surface (which we recoat with Briwax once a year or so) but its top is solid so we don't have to worry about debris in the cracks. Ours was a semi-custom order maybe 20 years ago. Still love it!
