Hanging "Processional Candleholder"

Interested in the "who used it, when and where" of what appears to be a processional candleholder. I have done quite a bit of internet searching and can't find a single site to tell me when this model would have been made, and only a few that have this style at all. One site claims that it is Catholic. (http://www.rubylane.com/item/368275-2839/Double-Brass-Church-Processional-Candle). The only thing I can say for certain as a result of those searches is that this style does not appear current. As "processional candleholders" go, current styles appear larger and more elaborate.

Height is just under 22 inches (including the loop at top) and width is 11 inches from one candle sconce to the other.

In any event it certainly looks nice hanging in front of the Scottish Lion Rampant banner that friends in Edinburgh sent me as a birthday present a couple of years ago. (I live in the U.S. but am blessed with friends in that beautiful country.)

Thanks in advance for any input.
