How do you tumble china, stained glass, and etc. for mosaics?

Hi...I use the old ice cream maker without the paddle myself. Just enough water to cover my pieces and some dish soap and let it churn for about 20 to 30 minutes. Works great for me too. I use it on china or stained glass pieces....or stones, or rocks.....or whatever else I can find.
