How do I post a Link?

There are two ways to post a link:

To insert a link using the provided boxes below the "Message" box:

Insert the link in the "Optional Link URL:" box

Type in the description or name of the item being linked in the "Name of the Link:" box If this is a new Post, you won't see these two boxes until you "preview" your message. So, compose your message and "Preview" it. You will now see the link boxes and can now enter your link information.

To insert a link inside the "Message" box,

Copy the following into the "Message" box where you want it:
Description

Next, replace the http://www.XXX/ with your link Now, replace the Description with the description (words) you want displayed with your link.

With either method, you will see your link when you next "preview" your message

Thanks hopefulauther - Aeonium, will try and source one [or two] of those down. Chemocurl - no problems at all copy/paste and quote all you want,,,,if it means getting pictures posted, I'm all for it. Many message boards don't seem to have decent instructions on posting pics, if they have any info at all. Guess that's where we all come in :-)

It doesn't sound dumb at all. You have to upload your photos to an image hosting site. Then copy and paste the address in your message. Try doing a websearch for free Image hosting. I use various ones time to time and use webshots which is a pay service for hosting whole albums. Have been using free "Tinypic" lately for the occasional photo to upload It is easy to use. Also you may have to resize them first if they are too large. I use Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop to resize the pictures. There are a number of products out there for resizing/editing and some hosting sites can do it for you. For example: To use Tinypic for posting pics 1.Click on "Browse." A window will open to look for your photos on your computer. 2.Find the folder/area where you have your photo stored on your computer. 3. Click on photo to select. 4. Click on "open" in the choose file window. 5. Click on "Upload Image." 6 Right click Highlight and Copy the address in the first window shown under the following wording: "Embed HTML: for MySpace, eBay, blogs" 7 Paste the address in your message on this forum. :) Here is a link that might be useful: Image Hosting Site

Directly over the comment (Whats on your mind?) box there should be a "share" list that includes 'link'....click on link and go from there. I write my comment first, then do the link.
