Windows Messenger...How do I Turn It Off?

Not to be confused with MSN Messenger.

1. Click Start>Settings>Control Panel
2. Double-click Administrative Tools
3. Double click Services..then Scroll
down and highlight "Messenger"
4. Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.
5. Click the STOP button.
6. Select Disable or Manual in the "Startup Type"
drop-down window
7. Click OK
