GardenWeb changing!!!!

It looks like Houzz is taking over in a big way. The most lucrative forums (Kitchens, Appliances etc etc) have a new format and the regulars aren't liking it at all.
I went over to Kitchens for a look-see and it's difficult to navigate.
Many fear that our beloved forums and meeting area is soon to be a thing of the past.
Does anyone have a good forum/web-site that they belong to? Several members are wondering where we can all go to keep in touch.

I suspect the change in formatting is to accommodate smart phone screens. I loathe my smartphone and don't use it for posting on any forums, including GW. I hate trying to type on the tiny screen. Even loathe it for text messages.
No, it's more than just formatting. Different forums are being combined together. You (at least I still) can get the old formatting of other forums by using an old bookmark. If you try to link through the kitchen forum page you will get the new format.

A page on face book would be easy....and private if we wanted it to be.
You can also create groups on facebook, but not everyone here is on facebook or wants to be.
I cannot imagine they would want to change the format of ALL the G'web & THS forums - what would be the point? It makes sense to me that they would want to merge the most relevant ones w/ already existing Houzz ones.
You can always create your own forum(s) -- there are several free web hosting/building sites meant specifically for forums. I ran one many years ago... I recall using ProBoards.
