Anybody remember this? Cooking Forum CD, May 2005
lowspark
As part of my ongoing years-long decluttering project, I'm currently going through all my clipped recipes. Inside the box I found this CD, apparently from May, 2005. I have started to go through it to see what recipes I might make. Lots of great old pictures of members at that time. Anyone else still have this memento?

I do not remember or have that CD, but I did publish the Moe's Diner Cookbook on one of my web sites at that time, which I have not maintained. I did the graphics for Moe's Diner, and Eileen did them for the Trattoria Cookbook.
Who created this CD? I would love to see some of the photos.
I am wallowing in decluttering at this point. It seems that when I moved to a larger house, the clutter got bigger. I had it more under control when I was in Venice in a much smaller house. We are supposed to declutter the garage today, but I think I will do the kitchen instead.
SharonCB created it according to the "Please Read Me First" document. I honestly don't remember receiving it; I didn't know I had it till I came across it today.
Lars, my theory is that we expand to fill the available space. So the more space you have, the more junk, uh, great stuff, you'll fill it up with. I've been on this decluttering kick for about three years now. I keep thinking, "this is it. I've looked through everything!" and then I realize I have another closet, or some drawers in a desk, or junk in the attic, etc. It's never ending. I keep finding more junk!
But then I find something cool like this! Wheeeeee!!!!
I have a whole list of cool stuff I hope to find... A few days ago I was installing a new external hard drive (4 terrabytes, so I can store more clutter), and when I pulled my computer out to attach the USB cable, I found the PowerDirector program that I had been looking for so that Kevin can install it on his computer. He has some videos he wants to edit.
I only have a small amount more of storage in the kitchen here than I did in Venice, and this is seriously in need of decluttering. There are a few things that I want to put into the garage from the kitchen, but we have to declutter the garage first. I also want to reorganize the freezers, as I was unable to find the ginger that I know I stored in one of them not too long ago. I have had the garage freezer long enough now to know whether something should be stored there or in the small kitchen freezer. Right now, the kitchen freezer is so full that I cannot find anything, and so it needs to be purged. I have vowed to put only those items that will be used right away in the kitchen freezer, and I also plan to keep an inventory list of what is in the garage freezer. In Venice, we kept an inventory list of what we had stored in the attic, which was mostly seasonal clothes, but winter clothes almost never get used, except when we travel.
No, I don't remember that either! I have Shambo's videos, and Ann T's cookbook, and the Moe's Diner cookbook, but I don't remember that at all. And I miss Sharon.

I had it on an old computer -- lost it too! Lost Ann T's cookbook and Moe's with the same issue. Boo!
I don't remember it either. But I do have the cookbook that I shared with everyone as well as Moe's Diner and the Trattoria Cookbook.
I don't have any of them. It must have been before I started visiting here. Enjoy your treasure!
I kinda sorta remember that cd. I was a sporadic poster back then (still am!). Somewhere I have a flash drive with Ann's and Sherry's cookbooks. Tami, I'm happy to share...if I can find the flash drive, lol.
Now I'm wondering how Sherry's doing and I wish I could find my canning camp pictures!
KatieC, that would be great! Thanks. Let me know if you find the flash drive.
If anyone is interested, I can compress the files and email them.
Lowspark, that would be wonderful! You are very thoughtful. Now, if someone will tell me how to get you my email address without posting it publicly...... I haven't learned that yet on the new forum layout.
Tami, Lowspark has to allow people to message her. If she changes her profile to allow messges, we can email her privately.
Ok, thanks Jasdip. So it basically works the same as it did when we were garden web, then.
Well, I just went to make sure that I have message capabilities turned on. I think I have it right! I hope. It sure isn't as easy as it used to be.
Can someone tell me how to do that? I clicked on my username and looked around but couldn't find it.
Lowspark: Click on Your Houzz at the top right corner.
Edit Profile
On the left, click on Advanced Settings.
Scroll to the bottom and where it says "Who can message me" , choose "Anyone can message me"
Thanks Jasdip. I don't think I ever would have found that! Anyway, anyone can message me now. :)
That is where I am going next! You will have a message from me shortly.
