I was in Tulsa yesterday, for their Veterans Day Parade. Got some nice pictures, and will share them over the next few days.
Me and my dad, on his birthday in '09. Saturday is his memorial service.
My youngest daughter. We were having a drink at a restaurant bar while waiting for a table. She paid for dinner.
From a recent hike.
GS when he was 5. Pic taken by his dad.
That photo of your GS is very symbolic, Glenda...as in a young sapling of the flora variety and a young sapling of the humankind. Now both have grown into larger, healthy varieties. ;-) Did your son mean it to be or was it just a serendipitous occurrence?
anne, thanks for the kind comments. Son was taking a photography class at that time and used GS in some great photos.
It's a great photo! I hope you both have a hard copy stored away and/or framed. That's the kind of photograph that Life magazine and others of that genre were so popular for. My compliments to your son...as well as your photographic GS. I'm sure your son passed the photography course with flying colors. He has a wonderfully artistic "eye". That photo is truly a treasure!
Glenda, you should ask the Parkes to go back to the same place and take another photo now! that would be cool!
That would be cool! I love those kind of pictures, then and now.
Great pictures as usual.
Yes, we need to get Glenderama to talk her son and grandson
in to doing it, just for us! lol
kat, I did send Parke's comments and he replied that it sounded great, if he can get the "subject" to agree. You know teenagers.
