Prewar NYC apartment bathroom 1: Finished!
We finally completed renovation of our two prewar apartment bathrooms in NYC.
Thanks to all the Gardenweb members who offered advice, guidance and ideas. We are most grateful. A special thank you to MongoCT and Bill Vincent who provided a great deal of technical help. It allayed our worries considerably.
Our building was built in 1921 and the bathrooms were last renovated in 1979. We did not move any pipes so the layout is the same as it was in the past.
Here is what we used in the larger of the two bathrooms:
Floor tile: Honed carrera marble basket-weave with bardiglio dots
Wall tile: White subway tile with a gray pencil line
Floor grout: Laticrete permacolor, silver shadow
Wall grout: Laticrete Spectralock Pro, silver shadow
Wall paint: BM, super white
Robern medicine cabinet MT20D4FBN
Kohler Bellwether tub
Kohler Cimmaron sink
Toto CST744S toilet
Grohe faucet for sink
Hansgrohe Chroma Green showerpipe
Signature Hardware corner rod
Here are a few images of the bath before we renovated:
And here are some images of the renovated bathroom:
Will describe the smaller bath renovation in another post
Thanks again everyone,
