Wolf 36" dual fuel - oven door locked

DJL68October 6, 2012

Yesterday I did the "burn in" process for my brand new Wolf 36" dual fuel range model number DF366. Last night the oven was still hot and the door seemed to be locked, I figured it would unlock itself when the oven cooled. This morning the door is still locked and will not open. I called Wolf and they said to turn the circuit breaker off for 5 minutes and the door should open. It didn't. I then kept the circuit breaker off for over an hour hoping the oven would reset itself, but it didn't. I can't find any info on the internet and have thoroughly checked these forums. If you have any advice I would so appreciate it! I've been without a kitchen since June 26 and was so excited to get back to cooking.

Thank you!

Best to leave the breaker in the off position until your range is thoroughly checked out by a Wolf technician. If a thermal fuse has opened during such "normal operation" and not just during self cleaning there may be additional areas requiring attention.
