Wedding today was mighty sweet!

Outdoor wedding at historial home!

Bride made her celtic stayle dress and her husband's kilt!

Her dress is very similar to this:

They even "tied the knot" after exchanging wedding rings.

They are remodeling a family 100 year old farm house, and most gave them gift certificates to Lowe's/Home Depot.

Lovely couple, never been married, she is 44 and he is somewhere around that age.

Violinist played the music before and after wedding in the gazebo.

He wore a brown kilt. Not the green. So I guess his family was a member of a particular Scottish clan.

His father won the mayoral election in the local town where the wedding was held.

Friend and I thought maybe 20ish, but looked more like 50.

Perfect weather.

This was done (not actual picture)after the couple exchanged wedding vows and rings.

Minister called it "tie the knot" a celtic tradition also known as handfasting.

The Handfasting ritual takes its name from the joining and tying of the hands of the couple to be wed, usually with cords. This is where the term "tying the knot" comes from today in reference to getting married.

Their colors, Sunday, were red and blue.
