Saw psychic John Edward last night (LONG)
Went with a friend to what is called a Group event which is less than 500 people in attendance. John came out and is as funny as friendly as he seems on TV. First he said he had been in Hawaii the night before and that it was actually HOTTER in St. Louis! lol He then talked a little about people wanting to become psychics and about the lady who had several readings with John and then wrote a book which has John's and her photo on the back cover.. well I knew what book this was cause I had just ordered it last week. lol It is called "Quit Kissing my Ashes". The author didn't ask John if he minded having his picture on the back cover and he wasn't very happy about it.
The readings started quickly after that.. they actually started with people asking questions. If I ever go back I will have a question to ask as this almost guarantees you a reading. The third person asking a question became a 'psychic hog'. Instead of asking a question everyone could benefit from she asked about her deceased DH.. she got a quick reading and then she asked a second question. Again about a deceased relative and that one came through briefly! After that John jumped right into readings and I would say close to 40 people got something. There were misses, but lots of hits. Things that kept coming up were the names Danny and the last name of Perkins, Washington, the nickname JoJo, drowning and a dog's name Chewy (at least 4 people in the audience had a dog by that name).
Might sound like cold reading at this point, but once he started reading a particular person he had amazing hits that only could be for them. He knew one woman's dad was a cheater and that he was an alcoholic. He knew someones child was buried with a Muppet character and that another was buried with a beer. He knew someone was called Superman cause he had recused someone from drowning. He knew another deceased relative was a vaudeville performer (the lady being read added that he later became a priest which had the whole room laughing). There was a "stripper" reference for one woman.
The saddest readings were for those who had lost a child. One woman had lost her 3 year old son at a get-together when he fell in the pool and drowned. Everyone thought someone else was watching him. John was very compassionate and I hope he brought some peace to her.
Some pets came through which gave me comfort since I had to say goodbye to my dog less than 2 weeks ago.
One of the last readings had to do with changing the setting in a ring and a ugly Christmas tree. The spirit was coming through saying she was having a blast, traveling the world and she gave her husband her blessing to start dating someone else. The son-in-law at the event told John that he "was the biggest skeptic... till just now".
My friend and I did not get a reading.. but there were a lot of "me too!" moments where we related to things John was saying.
I'm glad I went, it was a interesting and memorable evening!
