Spray or no spray on second sink?

MarinaGalDecember 8, 2012

We are remodeling a kitchen that has two sinks - main sink in the kitchen which will be the primary location for prep and clean up. There is also a smaller sink in the adjoining butler's pantry. This sink will have a disposal and can be a secondary prep sink location when I have other people helping me prep/cook. The primary purpose of the butler's pantry sink in daily life is likely going to be hand washing (children) and beverage use.

I am ordering the Hansgrohe High Arc Talis S for the kitchen sink and am trying to decide on a butler's pantry faucet - spray or no spray? I would prefer the look of no spray (and I prefer no side spray in general). For those who have no spray in a second sink with similar characteristics/use, do you regret it?

Yes, I definitely miss having a faucet with a spray feature in my 2nd (prep) sink. I think it was a mistake to choose a faucet without it.

Wy not just use another Talis S? I put one on each of my sinks. The spray head is invisible, but you get all the benefits of a spray without the side unit. I would seriously miss having a sprayer on my second sink. Heck, I even miss a sprayer on the bathroom sinks when I'm cleaning!

Okay - sold! Two faucets with sprayers to be ordered today. Thanks rhome and breezy. I don't use the sprayer on my current sink b/c it's a lousy one, but you've convinced me that with a good sprayer I will want one at each sink.

I would have preferred a faucet on my secondary sink that instead of being a pullout type with sprayer, could instead easily accept a screw on Pur filter.
