Quartzite vs Granite

HallforthNovember 22, 2013

Hi. Can anyone give me any idea of price per square foot of granite vs quartzite? If area of the country matters, I am in southwest Florida. Thanks!!

Too many variables, too many quality levels and options for edging.

Go to a big box store, and start with identifying what level granite or quartz you might want. Level 1, 2, 3 or A,B,C etc. prices vary considerably. Upgraded edging can be up to $20 per linear foot.

Hallforth:

I don't sell granite or quartzite, so I have no dog in this fight. The last thing you should be worried about is the SF price. The first thing you should be concerned with is value and that comes from the reputation of your fabricator.

All the quartzites I found were more expensive than the granites, but there was quite a range in price within both. The granites I liked tended to be on the high end.

I never came across silver storm; can you post a picture?

Why not just go get actual prices locally?
