Anyone have a Thermador 36" French Door Fridge?

gothamlNovember 6, 2013

I asked over in appliances, but no one seems to have a 36" Thermador french door fridge installed it in their house yet. We a trying to decide between that and the Liebherr, do any of you have any advice? Help!

I think that's what I have. I really have been pleased with it. My only complaint is the cost of the water filter, and that if a piece of ice falls onto the floor of the freezer, the drawer doesn't shut, and I am too short to reach, I have to get the tongs!

Yes, I've had one for 3.5 yrs, now.

Love it.

Especially love the freezer drawer. Also love the ice bin inside the freezer. I never liked ice-in-the-door models--seemed like it always came out too forcefully and I ended up with at least a piece or two on the floor.

Do either of you have it installed with custom panels?

Sorry I have a follow up question, can you fit gallon jigs in the door? My little dairy cow drinks a lot of milk.

Yes! I have teenaged who go through a box of cereal (swimming in milk) every day. So I know about that!! Gallon jugs fit on the bottom door shelves. The most handy spot for milk gallons is bottom right door. In general, I put lesser-used items on the left side. For us, the top shelf is all liquids.

Unlike previous fridges we've had, the stuff in the doors stays nice and cold.
