Do you match UCL temp to other kitchen lighting temp?

lcskaisgirNovember 11, 2013

Trying to decide between 2700K and 3500K for UCL (led). My recessed lights will be 2700K (led). Are you supposed to match the temperatures or would I want a whiter light for UCL?

I did not like the effect of whiter lighting under my cabinets ... it gave everything a "cafeteria" look.

I don't have that issue yet, but in contrast to jellytoast's post, someone else posted recently that she switched from warmer to cooler UC lighting and was thrilled with the change. I think it's personal preference. Whether cool goes with warm and vice-versa, I can't say.
