Shelf adjustment Cabico cabinets

TracyD11November 16, 2013

We just purchased a home with beautiful Cabico cabinets. I am trying to lower the shelves within since i cannot reach the second shelf up (or the third).

The clips inside are plastic and the shelf is secured on the top and bottom with a notch in the plastic. It seems like the shelf could slide out and i could take the clip off, but i would have to take all the doors off. Someone mentioned to push the piece in to get it to release but this is not working.

Is there an easier way?

You need to push on the tab with a metal object and slide the shelf up. I use a dull chisel but you must be careful. I have a brand that had been using them. I replace them with another style so don't mind breaking the tabs.
