Pics of stone backsplash for white on black kitchen please!!

chloe.chloeOctober 4, 2012

Hello,

I'm at a total loss for our kitchen backsplash ( new build). The cabinets are a white chiffon with black granite. Floors are a medium toned oak. I want the look to be more traditional and I absolutely will not use white subway tile. I'm thinking of a tumbled stone but am not sure which way to go: warm neutrals to pic up on the wood floor or a grayish tone? Any pics/advice would be much appreciated!!

I would not do tumbled. It is not as popular as it once was, although there are people who still use it. A warning though. A member here recently had problems with hers having a pinkish cast to it.
How about glass? A marble? Fire and Ice in the grey family? I am not sure what white chiffon is. But, in choosing you want to pick up the same tone as your cabinets. Other wise one can make the other can look dingy.

I'd do green. Maybe something light like like ming green marble or even one of the dark green serpentine verde marbles.
